This blog post was created after Dervy realised he needed a place to express his thoughts and theorycrafting knowledge. As well as a having a Youtube Channel, he also needs a place where he can document every little thing and to provide as a text-based solution for all of his work.
Here, Dervy will continuously provide a stream of data and theorycrafting insights into the mechanics of FFXIV.
Currently, he’s reworking the Damage Formula as he noticed a lot of inconsistencies. Afterwards, he’s going to rework the Critical Hit Rating formula… And of course, there’s a lot more math that needs to be done in Heavensward!

That’s for you to find out.
You use the stat-weights I provide and multiply them by the stat value given on gear/materia, to see what gives a higher “weight”. 99% of the time, higher number = better
